We're partnered with a well‑respected general contractor headquartered in Chattanooga seeking an experienced Travelling Superintendent to oversee ground‑up commercial projects across multiple states. This individual will manage all onsite construction activities, ensure safety and quality standards, and drive projects to successful completion while traveling for multi‑month assignments.

They maintain strong relationships with owners and subcontractors, have a healthy backlog of repeat business, and foster a collaborative, people‑first culture. Their travelling division is well‑structured and offers consistent, reliable project flow.Description
- Lead onsite field operations for ground‑up commercial, healthcare, and light industrial projects
- Coordinate subcontractors, manage site logistics, and maintain daily jobsite activities
- Enforce all safety protocols and uphold quality expectations
- Maintain project schedules and communicate regularly with Project Managers
- Produce accurate daily logs, photos, and progress documentation
- Conduct site meetings with owners, design teams, and inspectors
- Identify and resolve field issues proactively to avoid schedule delays
- Travel regularly and remain onsite for extended project durations
Profile
- 5+ years of Superintendent experience within commercial construction
- Proven ability to run ground‑up projects independently
- Strong understanding of field operations, scheduling, and construction methods
- Experience with commercial, light industrial, or healthcare projects preferred
- Proficiency in field management tools (Procore, Bluebeam, etc.)
- Willingness to travel frequently and remain on remote job sites as needed
