CNC Applications Engineer | Aerospace | Itasca, IL
The CNC Applications Engineer develops, optimizes, and supports CNC machining processes to ensure high-quality, efficient production. The CNC Applications Engineer will collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to implement new technologies, troubleshoot issues, and improve manufacturing outcomes

Description
Key duties and responsibilities will include:
- Develop optimized CNC programs using Mastercam
- Edit and optimize existing programs to improve efficiency of production
- Utilize knowledge of CAD and GD&T to interpret Engineering prints and help develop 3D models
- Collaborating with the engineering team on project development
- Providing technical support to the manufacturing department
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving to optimize processes
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Assisting in training personnel on CNC applications
- Continuously improving methodologies and best practices
- Participating in cross-functional teams to achieve company objectives
Profile
The successful candidate will posses the following:
- Degree in Engineering, or related field is preferred, but can be made up for with experience
- Proficient with CNC programming and operations - knowledge of Mastercam & G-Code
- Experience setting up and troubleshooting a variety of CNC machinery
- Strong working knowledge of GD&T - background working on tight tolerance components is preferred
- Experience designing and/or procuring custom tooling/work holding for production
- Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities

Job Offer
- Base salary between $120,000 - $145,000 depending on experience
- 10% annual bonus incentive based on personal metrics & company revenue
- 3 weeks PTO
