Senior Property Accountant

We're seeking a talented and detail-oriented Senior Property Accountant with a passion for real estate financial services and experience in accounting. The ideal candidate will be proficient in navigating the financial landscape and delivering sound and accurate financial reports.

This role is fully onsite.

Description

• Prepare and analyze financial statements for a portfolio of properties, including garages, shopping centers, office buildings, and retail spaces
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
• Collaborate with property management teams to optimize financial performance
• Develop and implement efficient accounting processes and procedures
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities for properties
• Perform variance analysis and provide financial reports to stakeholders
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end close
• Maintain professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations

Profile

A successful Senior Property Accountant should have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Comprehensive understanding of GAAP
• Broad real estate knowledge of shopping centers, retail and other asset types.
• Yardi system knowledge
• Proficiency in MS Office and property management software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
• Willingness to work onsite in midtown Manhattan 5 days/week

Job Offer
