We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join a reputable construction firm based in Stamford, CT. This role involves preparing detailed and accurate estimates for mid-to-high-rise residential and commercial office projects, contributing to impactful developments in the region.

Description

• Develop comprehensive estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs, across various contract types.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality service.
• Conduct site visits, pre-bid conferences, and analyze project specifications to develop accurate cost projections.
• Evaluate subcontractor bids and scopes of work to identify the best value for each project.
• Prepare bid status reports, maintain historical cost data, and utilize estimating software to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Collaborate with project teams to provide value engineering solutions and align estimates with project goals.

Profile

• A degree in building construction, engineering, or a related field, with 7-10 years of estimating experience in residential and commercial projects.
• Advanced skills in value engineering and a strong understanding of construction plans and specifications.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database software, with experience in industry-standard estimating tools.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and thrive under pressure to meet deadlines effectively.
