Director of Construction

$180,000 - $220,000/Year

The Director of Construction will oversee all phases of construction for luxury hospitality projects, managing the entire process from pre-construction to final completion. The Director will work closely with senior management, architects, designers, contractors, and external partners to ensure that every detail meets the standards of excellence that define their brand.

They are seeking a talented Director of Construction to lead their development efforts and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Description

  • Lead and manage the construction process for multiple luxury hospitality and resort projects, ensuring timely, on-budget delivery.
  • Oversee all pre-construction activities, including planning, budgeting, bidding, and scheduling.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Ensure that all construction activities adhere to design specifications, quality standards, and luxury brand requirements.
  • Monitor and control construction budgets, change orders, and cost forecasts to ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Manage relationships with general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure optimal project execution.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and maintain quality control.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements across all construction projects.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the construction team, fostering a culture of accountability, excellence, and innovation.
  • Collaborate with design teams to ensure that the aesthetic and functional aspects of the project are achieved.
  • Report regularly to senior leadership on project progress, risks, and any necessary changes.

Profile

  • 10+ years of experience in construction management, with a strong focus on mid-market to luxury hospitality, resort or multifamily projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale, high-end hotel, resort or multifamily projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. (Preferred but not essential)
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and cost controls.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project).

Job Offer

$180,000-$220,000+ depending on experience
