The Electrical Systems Technician will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of electrical systems within the manufacturing environment. This position requires technical expertise in electrical systems and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving.

Description

  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Develop custom automation solutions.
  • Install, test, and inspect electrical components to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement electrical system improvements.
  • Maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and BOM's.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations.
  • Identify and resolve electrical system issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Support the installation and commissioning of new machinery and electrical systems.
  • Create manufacturing documents, SOP's, safety instructions, and protocols.

Profile

A successful Electrical Systems Technician should have:

  • An Associate's Degree in an Electrical Engineering discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in automation engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and equipment in the industrial and manufacturing sector.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical.
  • Knowledge of AC/DC circuits, NEC, NFPA 79, UL 508A, IEC/EN
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintaining electrical components.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Familiarity with industry safety standards and best practices.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with engineering teams and other stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.
