Junior Estimator

The Junior Estimator will support preconstruction and estimating efforts for high-end residential renovation projects throughout Manhattan. This is a hands-on opportunity to learn the full estimating lifecycle while working closely with senior estimators and project teams in New York, New York. The ideal Junior Estimator is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and excited about luxury construction.

Our client is a well-established General Contractor based in New York, New York, specializing in gut renovations of luxury townhomes, penthouses, and apartments across Manhattan. They are known for exceptional craftsmanship, long-term client relationships, and delivering complex projects in some of the city's most exclusive residences.

Description

• Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates for luxury residential renovations
• Perform quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications
• Support bid preparation, subcontractor outreach, and bid leveling
• Help track and update budgets throughout preconstruction
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and vendors
• Maintain organized estimating files and documentation

Profile

A successful Junior Estimator should have:

• 1-3 years of experience in construction estimating or a related role
• Exposure to residential or commercial construction projects
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Proficiency with Excel; estimating software experience is a plus
• Interest in growing long-term as a Junior Estimator in New York, New York
