Description

The Construction Project Manager (Mechanical/HVAC) will oversee and manage the planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical and HVAC construction projects from start to finish. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in mechanical systems, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all phases of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution, with a focus on mechanical/HVAC systems.
  • Coordinate and supervise on-site activities, ensuring work is completed in accordance with design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and subcontractors to resolve any issues and ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for HVAC and mechanical systems installations.
  • Maintain communication with clients to provide project updates, address concerns, and manage expectations.
  • Conduct regular project meetings and site inspections to ensure progress and quality control.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and minimizing any financial risks.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Prepare and submit project reports, schedules, and documentation.
  • Mentor and manage a team of field staff, contractors, and subcontractors to achieve project goals.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, with a strong focus on mechanical/HVAC projects.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, mechanical design, and industry standards.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale construction projects from conception to completion.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, contracts, and project specifications.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, Microsoft Project).
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Miami.
  • PMP certification or similar project management certification is a plus.
