Aerospace - Manufacturing Supervisor - Cromwell, CT
The Manufacturing Supervisor will manage and schedule shop floor departments (CNC, Polish, Inspection, Cutter Grind) on the first shift to ensure quality, delivery, and profitability goals are met. They will lead process improvements, provide employee coaching and training, resolve issues, enforce safety protocols, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational success.

Description
Responsibilities:
- Manage and schedule shop floor departments (CNC, Polish, Inspection, Cutter Grind) to meet quality, delivery, and profitability goals, while adhering to company rules and regulations.
- Ensure proper pre-kitting of jobs to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a setup reduction program.
- Provide coaching, development, and training for employees to enhance their skills and performance.
- Resolve employee issues through problem-solving and involve HR when necessary.
- Lead Continuous Improvement and Kaizen initiatives to drive operational enhancements.
- Conduct quality clinics to address and resolve production-related issues.
- Monitor employee performance and assess effectiveness in meeting production goals.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment.
- Interface with Finance, Engineering, Quality, or Production Control teams when problems arise.
Profile
Ideal Candidate:
- 10-15 years of experience in Aerospace or a related industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in a supervisory role, demonstrating increasing responsibility.
- Proven ability to lead teams and drive results.
- Strong planning skills with the ability to think ahead and manage tasks over a 30-day period.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
