The Senior Project Manager - Ground Up Public Works Construction will lead the successful delivery of large-scale, ground-up public works projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule goals are met. Description
The Senior Project Manager - Ground Up Public Works Construction will:
- Lead all phases of project delivery, oversee preconstruction, scheduling, budgeting, and execution for large-scale municipal and civic builds in Irvine and surrounding areas.
- Manage cross-functional teams, coordinate superintendents, subcontractors, and design partners to ensure alignment on building and construction scope, quality, and deadlines.
- Drive client and stakeholder relationships, serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, and public agencies, ensuring clear communication and satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance and quality, uphold contract requirements, safety regulations, LEED/CHPS standards, and internal quality control procedures.
- Oversee cost and risk management, track budgets, approve change orders, mitigate risks, and deliver projects on time and within financial targets.
Profile
A successful Senior Project Manager - Ground Up Public Works Construction candidate will have:
- Extensive building and construction public works expertise, proven track record managing large-scale, ground-up municipal and civic projects from preconstruction through closeout, experience in Irvine is a plus.
- Leadership and team coordination, skilled at guiding cross-functional teams, subcontractors, and design partners toward shared project goals.
- Strong client and stakeholder communication, adept at building trust and maintaining clear, proactive communication with owners, architects, and public agencies.
- Technical and regulatory knowledge, deep understanding of contracts, permitting, LEED/CHPS requirements, safety standards, and risk management.
- Results-driven mindset, consistently delivers projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
