Director of Operations

The role available with our client is a Director of Operations is responsible for leading the operations team and running all necessary training. They will be in charge of all aspects of operations and work cross-functionally when needed.

Description

• Oversee daily manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics operations to ensure efficiency.
• Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with company goals.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure optimal production planning, inventory control, and procurement processes.
• Maintain and improve relationships with vendors, suppliers, and distribution partners.
• Ensure all products meet industry regulations (FDA, GMP, ISO, etc.) and quality standards.
• Oversee quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) teams to maintain product integrity.
• Stay up to date with regulatory changes and implement necessary compliance measures.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
• Identify and eliminate inefficiencies in production and supply chain workflows.
• Develop and manage operational budgets to ensure cost efficiency.
• Analyze financial reports, production costs, and profit margins to optimize spending.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue growth.

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• 7+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in the personal care, cosmetics, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.
• Proven track record in manufacturing, supply chain management, and process optimization.
• Strong understanding of production planning, inventory control, and quality assurance.
• Familiarity with FDA, GMP, and other regulatory requirements for personal care products.
• Experience with ERP systems, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Ability to lead and develop cross-functional teams to drive performance.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills for collaborating with stakeholders.
• Experience in reducing waste, improving productivity, and enhancing product quality.
• Passion for innovation and continuous improvement in personal care manufacturing.
