Estimator - Commercial & Automative Projects in North Shore MA

I am supporting a well established construction management firm in their search for a Mid Level Estimator to join their Salem office. This is a key hire for a growing team with strong leadership, excellent client relationships, and an 85 percent repeat business rate.

My client is a privately held construction management firm founded in the early nineteen nineties, operating across Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Vermont. They specialize in ground up and renovation work in sectors including retail, hospitality, science and technology, academic, corporate interiors, and automotive. With roughly 130 employees between their Salem MA headquarters, the business has built its reputation on relationships and their people building mindset. They operate with an in office, high energy, team oriented culture and grow sustainably rather than hiring based solely on short term project needs.

Description

• Prepare detailed estimates for ground up and renovation projects in the two to twenty million dollar range
• Collaborate with Preconstruction Managers, Senior Estimators, and project teams to develop accurate pricing and scopes
• Review drawings, specifications, and subcontractor proposals
• Coordinate with subcontractors to solicit pricing and confirm scope
• Support assistant estimators and help distribute workload across the team
• Work closely with leadership as the team plans for succession and growth
• Utilize software tools such as Building Connected, On Screen Takeoff, Procore, and Excel
• Maintain an organized workflow that supports on time, high quality estimating delivery

Profile

A successful Estimator should have:

• 5+ of dedicated estimating experience in commercial construction
• Background in grocery, automotive, retail, or hospitality projects is highly preferred
• Experience with projects between $5M - $30M
• Strong understanding of takeoffs, quantity surveys, and cost analysis
• Familiarity with Building Connected, On Screen Takeoff, Procore, and Excel
• Ability to work fully in office in Salem MA
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
