Description



Sales Strategy & Market Expansion

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive go-to-market strategy for the North American region, aligned with global business objectives.
  • Build and lead a high-performing sales team and network of representatives focused on growing the customer base and increasing market share.
  • Identify and prioritize key industries, applications, and customers where precision measurement and control systems deliver critical value.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, exhibitions, and conferences to strengthen market presence and generate leads.


2. Technical Sales & Solution Delivery

  • Serve as a senior technical advisor during the sales process, ensuring solution alignment with customer-specific applications and operational needs.
  • Guide the proposal and quotation process, including product selection, system configuration, and integration planning.
  • Support field trials, pilot projects, and technical demonstrations to accelerate adoption and prove ROI to prospective clients.


3. Operational Leadership

  • Oversee order fulfillment, delivery scheduling, system commissioning, and post-sale support in the North American region.
  • Ensure efficient coordination with service partners, field technicians, and internal operations to maintain high customer satisfaction.
  • Establish operational procedures and performance standards for regional logistics, technical support, and service escalation.


4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as the primary interface between North American customers and global product development, engineering, and manufacturing teams.
  • Communicate market trends, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence to inform product strategy and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support new product introductions, custom application deployments, and technical training for internal and external stakeholders.


5. Business Performance & Reporting

  • Set regional revenue and performance targets; monitor KPIs related to sales pipeline, delivery timelines, service quality, and customer retention.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to executive leadership, offering insights and strategic recommendations for regional business growth.
  • Drive accountability across the regional team for achieving financial and operational objectives.

Profile

A successful Director of Sales & Operations - North America should have:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related technical field; MBA or equivalent leadership training preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in technical sales and operations leadership within the industrial automation, process control, or precision instrumentation sectors.
  • Strong understanding of tension measurement, web guiding, force sensing, telemetry, or bulk material control technologies.
  • Proven ability to manage sales channels, strategic accounts, and regional operations in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel regularly across North America.

Preferred:

  • Experience launching or scaling high-value technical products in North American markets.
  • Familiarity with OEM sales models and integration into production lines or industrial systems.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish or French is an asset.
