Description
- Manage day‑to‑day onsite operations for ground‑up big‑box retail builds.
- Coordinate subcontractors, site logistics, and project sequencing.
- Enforce safety standards, quality expectations, and compliance requirements.
- Review and interpret drawings, site plans, and construction documents.
- Track project progress, maintain daily reporting, and support schedule adherence.
- Communicate regularly with project managers, owners, and inspectors.
- Lead site meetings and ensure all trades meet project milestones.
- Oversee inspections, punch lists, and overall site closeout.
- Travel full‑time to active project sites.
Profile
- 5-10+ years as a Superintendent in ground‑up big‑box retail.
- Strong ability to manage high‑speed, high‑volume retail construction schedules.
- Skilled in coordinating multiple trades in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and leadership skills.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed construction drawings.
- Strong safety mindset and experience enforcing jobsite compliance.
- Willingness to travel full‑time (long‑term assignments).
- Stable job history and proven success closing out big‑box projects.
