Production Engineer | Plastics

The Manufacturing Engineer will have the opportunity to play a role in every phase of our client's manufacturing process, from quote to final production. The Manufacturing Engineer will work to optimize repeat and one-off manufacturing processes based on customer needs & internal capabilities, all while reporting directly to the Engineering Manager for oversight and growth within the Engineering team

Our client is an industry leading contract power tool manufacturer selling directly to major retail stores and Amazon. They are currently undergoing impressive growth, and are investing a ton of resources into upgrading the capabilities of the production site. To facilitate the exciting growth happening at the national and international sites, my client seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to join the team.

Description

• Based on customer prints, optimize manufacturing processes/workflow to ensure most efficient production
• Assist in a production changeover from China to either Thailand or Vietnam
• Spearhead projects centered around LEAN/CI initiatives to reduce production costs & material waste
• Sourcing materials or machinery
• Troubleshoot production issues as needed
• Work across different teams including quality control & design
• Assist in quoting activities based on customer requests
• Design & implement fixtures & jigs to implement into production
• Analyze current manufacturing processes and identify areas for process improvement
• Ability to travel 3 to 4 times a year internationally

Profile

• 4+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment, injection molding background strongly preferred
• Demonstrated project management skills, with focus on time management & budget constraints
• Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing/Continuous Improvement principles
• Familiarity with quality management systems
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

Job Offer

• Base salary $80,000 - $95,000 depending on level of experience
• Discretionary bonus based on company performance (averaging $10,000)
