Electrical Engineer - Automotive - Lowell, MA
My client is seeking a a skilled Electrical Engineer with experience in the automotive space. This person will join a thriving team in the automotive manufacturing space. This role involves electrical designing, developing, and installing electrical systems and components to support production and operational goals.

Description
Reporting directly into the VP of Engineering, you will be responsible for the following:
- Design, develop, and test electrical systems and components for manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems into larger production workflows.
- Ensure compliance for electrical harness design and install with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Create wiring schematics using CAD software such as SolidWorks.
- Perform troubleshooting and provide technical support for electrical equipment and systems.
- Analyze and improve electrical processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Document designs, modifications, and testing results to maintain accurate records.
- Provide technical guidance to Production, QA, and Customer Service Support.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.
Profile
A successful Electrical Engineer should have:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering with experience in an automotive environment.
- Proficiency in electrical design software and tools such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Experience in wire harness design and development, systems integration, and system level diagnostics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address technical challenges.
- Knowledge of industry safety standards and regulations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively.
