Industrial Engineer - Costing/Quoting - Nashua, NH
The Industrial Engineer will offer support for manufacturing and logistics operations across both locations with a focus on process and material flow, labor balancing, costing, and ergonomics. You will also have the opportunity to employ standard practices and tools to enhance efficiency, lower labor costs, and improve overall safety performance around the plant.

My client is a well established consumer goods manufacturer located just outside of Nashua, NH and is looking to add to it's growing engineering team. They have steadily grown over the past 10 years and are looking to continue that growth with new, talented engineers who have the ability to interface with customers and translate their needs into engineering projects.
Description
In this role you will report directly to the Engineering Supervisor and be responsible for:
- Designing and modifying work centers to reduce material movement and maximize productivity.
- Developing improved material handling and dispensing methods to decrease labor content and minimize poor body mechanics.
- Using time and motion study tools to determine staffing requirements and balance workloads across all positions within a work cell.
- Establishing and documenting standard work procedures for each operator position by SKU or product family, ensuring they are easily trainable for a diverse production staff.
- Collaborating closely with manufacturing engineers to develop automation solutions.
- Identifying and implementing a standard ergonomic assessment tool to enhance workstation design and minimize injury potential.
- Participating in managing the safety program.
Profile
The successful candidate will have:
- 1-3 years of Costing/quoting experience in an Engineering environment
- Labor flows, routing, and business tools familiarity
- Experience working cross functionally with sales and production
- LEAN and Six Sigma project experience
- Green belt certification a plus
- Excel/ Salesforce understanding a plus
