Manufacturing Process Engineer - Peabody, MA
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for defining, improving, and documenting manufacturing processes to support the production of precision components. This role focuses on manufacturability, process planning, and cross‑functional collaboration to ensure quality, productivity, and consistent product flow.

Description
In this role you will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and be responsible for:
- Reviewing product designs for manufacturability, tolerances, and cost considerations
- Defining manufacturing processes for new components and assemblies
- Determining fixture and gage requirements and coordinating procurement or fabrication
- Creating process routes, work instructions, and bills of material in the ERP system
- Reviewing Engineering Change Orders and updating all related documentation
- Collaborating with engineering, quality, supervision, and shop‑floor personnel to improve productivity and quality
- Participating in root cause analysis and corrective action activities
- Supporting shop‑floor troubleshooting and documentation improvements
Profile
The successful candidate will have:
- A BS degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 5 or more years of experience supporting CNC machining operations in a manufacturing environment
- Experience using CAD or solid modeling tools and interpreting engineering drawings
- Experience with machining practices, work holding, and measurement methods
- MRP or ERP systems familiarity
- Experience developing or maintaining routing, BOMs, or process documentation
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
- Experience collaborating across engineering, quality, and production teams
