Maintenance Supervisor- 2nd Shift

Description

• Supervise preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment longevity and reliability.
• Manage maintenance and repairs for all plant equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
• Generate work orders and oversee their timely completion, adhering to the highest quality standards.
• Schedule staff to maximize efficiency and coverage across the maintenance department.
• Assist with record-keeping and manage the preventative and predictive maintenance program, including data entry into the computerized maintenance management system.
• Provide equipment recommendations, including design and layout suggestions.
• Direct workers involved in painting and structural repairs of the facility and equipment.
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets blueprints, specifications, and standards.
• Review production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements to complete assignments.
• Communicate company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
• Adjust work procedures as needed to meet production schedules.
• Recommend changes in working conditions and equipment usage to enhance work crew efficiency.
• Analyze and resolve work-related issues, assisting workers in problem-solving as needed.
• Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve their goals.
• Collaborate with other supervisors to coordinate activities across departments.
• Perform the tasks of workers under supervision when necessary.

Profile

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing or a related field.
• Preferred: 2 years of experience in a Supervisor or Foreman role.
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team setting.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Capable of prolonged walking and standing.
• Ability to tolerate temperature fluctuations, including environments as cold as -20º F.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
