Manufacturing Engineer | Algonquin, IL
The Manufacturing Engineer will act as a liaison between Design Engineering and Production, providing expertise to identify and resolve production problems. This position will be a highly visible role with an expected path to a senior leadership role within the company.

Our client is a leading electronics manufacturer, serving OEMs in the defense, industrial equipment, and agricultural industries. Founded more than 40 years ago, our client remains family owned, and has grown to a headcount of over 800 employees across their facilities in Illinois. Our client is searching for a Senior ME to join the growing team and be a leader at headquarters.
Description
- Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, keeping a focus on cost reduction
- Execute the manufacturing side of NPI processes
- Qualify processes and tooling using acceptable statistical methods
- Develop work instructions, production standards and production staffing requirements
- Interface with other departments and facilities involved in manufacturing process
- Troubleshoot issues on the floor pertaining to production
- Evaluate and recommend potential new production equipment, including costs and NRE
- Design tools and fixtures through the use of accepted CAD systems
- Establish operating, maintenance and safety procedures for machinery/equipment
Profile
- 7+ years of experience in manufacturing for the electronics/PCB/ or electro-mechanical products and/or components
- Knowledge of troubleshooting machinery for assembly, PCBs, and testing of product (validation)
- Experience creating work instructions for machine operators, written or visual
- Design tooling and applications to improve operator efficiency and reduce idle time
- Bachelor's or technical degree
- Lean/Six Sigma background or certification is a plus
Job Offer
- Base salary between $80,000 to $100,000 depending on level of experience
- 3 weeks PTO + sick time
