Senior Procurement Associate
The Senior Procurement Associate will be responsible for assisting in the procurement processes in a fast-paced, dynamic, and specialized environment. They will play a critical role in sourcing materials for biogas plants, researching potential vendors, and maintaining records of purchases, pricing, and other critical supply chain data.
Client Details
My client sits in the renewable energy space and are a premier anaerobic digester developer/owner/operator in the United States. They have a closed-loop anaerobic digestion process converts organic waste and cow manure into green electricity or renewable natural gas as well as other related 'value-added' products.
Description
- Assist in the procurement process, including sourcing potential vendors, comparing prices, and negotiating contracts.
- Maintain and update supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc.
- Support the Procurement Manager in market research to keep abreast of changing industry trends.
- Process purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure merchandise is high quality and delivered on time.
- Respond to supplier inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure smooth process flow.
Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in procurement or a related field.
- Experience in buying specialized engineering equipment for energy or gas & oil plants
- Familiarity with procurement software and tools, such as SAP Ariba, Oracle Procurement Cloud, or similar.
- Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships with suppliers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
