Senior Principal - Industrials and Business Services
The role requires collaboratively drive the team in the origination, investment execution and asset management for a specific portfolio of assets and lead complex deals from origination to execution globally, ensuring alignment to the investment strategy and philosophy and Company's governance.

Description
- Provide critical inputs and insights that supports the development of the investment strategy
- Executes the strategy and ensures that the plans for the sector are in place
- Develop a strong and meaningful opportunity pipeline
- Lead deal teams providing guidance throughout the deal origination and execution process
- Act as an asset manager, either directly or when required, through board of director's membership, for a number of complex assets, and deliver P&L impact.
- Manage risks throughout the investment lifecycle
- Manage direct reports (if applicable) to ensure work is carried out in an effective and efficient manner, in line with the annual business plan, and policies and procedures
- Develop, mentor and coach team members, and actively seek opportunities to develop oneself and others
- Contribute to the Emiratization agenda by providing targeted advice, coaching and mentoring to junior UAE National team members
- Build, manage and nurture relationships with current and prospective external partners and investors, and key industry players, at a global level
- Recommend improvements to functional procedures, and ensure implementation of policies, procedures, systems and controls covering the assigned areas of responsibility
- Identify opportunities for the continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account 'international leading practices', in order to improve business processes and increase operational effectiveness
Profile
- A bachelor degree holder in business management, finance, economics, or equivalent.
- A Master degree from a top-tier, internationally recognized higher education institution is preferred
- Minimum of 13 years of experience in progressively more complex and senior-level roles within a top-tier international investment firm or private equity
- Proven track record in sourcing, executing and closing complex, and strategic investment deals
- Strong knowledge in Private Equity investment and asset management concepts and practices
- Ability to successfully identify, execute and close complex deals, with proven successful investment results
- Ability to hold the senior management team at the assigned asset(s) accountable to drive the execution and delivery against objectives
- Knowledge of the sector landscape and dynamic, has the ability to anticipate opportunities & threats and advise senior management on critical business decisions
- Strong leadership skills and ability to guide and shape solutions that drive business performance
- Strong business acumen and entrepreneurial thinking
- Demonstrated experience shaping strategic agendas to unlock value or resolve performance issues
- Strong knowledge of all deal execution processes including financing, legal documentation, etc.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills, and proven ability to use the right negotiation strategies and tools to optimise benefits and value to Investment Company, and resolve complex challenges and bottlenecks
- In-depth knowledge of various transactions including joint ventures, mergers, acquisitions, greenfield / brownfield projects, etc.
- Good knowledge and understanding of the legal and regulatory environment of relevant geographic markets
- Strong results orientation with an ability to manage multiple deals and assets simultaneously
- Strong knowledge of corporate governance principles and models
- Ability to act as an Asset Manager for assets of high complexity and size or non-performing assets
- Ability to act as a Board member or Board Committee member for a number of assets
- Strong networking and relationship building and management skills
- Ability to develop quantitative models to measure investment decisions
- Ability to shape and lead problem solving, and drive insightful solutions
