Engineering Manager - Chemical - East Greenwich, RI
The Engineering Manager will lead process engineering, continuous improvement, and technical support activities within a highly regulated manufacturing environment. This role partners closely with Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure safe, reliable, and high‑purity production while developing and mentoring an engineering team.

Description
This role provides engineering leadership for a chemical manufacturing site, with responsibility for process optimization, troubleshooting, raw material engineering, and capital project support. The Engineering Manager ensures manufacturing processes meet strict safety, quality, and regulatory standards while driving continuous improvement and developing engineering talent.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and develop a team of process and manufacturing engineers.
- Drive process optimization, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
- Support capital projects, new product introductions, and process scale‑up.
Profile
The ideal candidate is an experienced chemical or process engineering leader with a strong background in regulated manufacturing environments. They bring hands‑on technical expertise, proven people leadership, and the ability to partner effectively across operations and quality functions.
You will bring:
- 8+ years of experience in chemical or specialty manufacturing.
- 3+ years leading or supervising engineering teams.
- Strong troubleshooting, data‑driven decision‑making, and CI experience.
