Description
Responsibilities:
- Analyze Metals: Test and evaluate metal samples to ensure they meet quality standards and performance specifications.
- Optimize Alloys: Develop and refine alloy compositions to improve casting quality and performance.
- Improve Processes: Enhance casting processes and techniques to increase efficiency and product consistency.
- Troubleshoot Issues: Identify and resolve material-related problems that arise during production.
- Conduct Research: Stay updated on metallurgical advancements and integrate new technologies or methods into practices.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with engineering and production teams to align on material requirements and process improvements.
- Ensure Compliance: Adhere to industry standards and regulations for material quality and safety.
- Document Findings: Maintain detailed records of tests, analyses, and process changes for quality assurance and continuous improvement.
Profile
Ideal Candidate:
- Experienced Metallurgist: 5-7 years of hands-on experience in the field with a strong grasp of metal analysis and alloy optimization.
- Process Improvement: Proven track record of enhancing casting processes and techniques to boost efficiency and quality.
- Troubleshooting Expertise: Skilled in identifying and resolving material-related issues that impact production.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of metallurgical advancements and industry standards.
- Collaborative Skills: Ability to work effectively with engineering and production teams to align on material and process requirements.
- Research Acumen: Experience in integrating new technologies and methods into metallurgical practices.
- Quality Assurance: Committed to maintaining detailed records and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
