Project Superintendent
The Superintendent will lead on-site construction operations for projects in the retail, hotel, and restaurant sectors, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a strong understanding of commercial construction processes, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to coordinate diverse teams and subcontractors on fast-paced, high-stakes projects.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Superintendent to join our commercial construction team in Pittsburgh, PA.
Description
- Project Site Management: Oversee all aspects of the construction site, including daily operations, subcontractor coordination, and material logistics, to ensure smooth and efficient workflows.
- Schedule Management: Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating work phases to ensure that timelines are met; proactively address delays and maintain open communication with project managers.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor all construction activities to ensure adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and customer expectations.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce all OSHA regulations and company safety policies on-site, conducting regular safety meetings and ensuring a safe work environment for all personnel.
- Subcontractor and Vendor Coordination: Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, holding them accountable to project standards, timelines, and budgets.
- Problem Solving and Issue Resolution: Identify potential issues early, troubleshoot on-site challenges, and work with the project team to develop and implement solutions.
- Communication and Reporting: Serve as the main point of contact for the project manager, clients, and other stakeholders on-site; provide regular project updates, progress reports, and documentation.
Profile
- 7+ years of commercial construction experience, with a focus on retail, hotel, and restaurant projects.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, OSHA safety standards, and construction best practices.
- Proven experience in supervising complex projects from start to finish, with a record of successful project completions on schedule and within budget.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore) and project scheduling tools (e.g., Microsoft Project or Primavera).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents, blueprints, and specifications.
- Valid driver's license; willingness to travel within the region as required.
