The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of cable harness design, manufacturing, and installation projects, from defining project goals to ensuring timely and successful delivery. This role involves managing resources, budgets, risks, and timelines while collaborating with engineering teams and stakeholders to meet project specifications and objectives.

Description

Responsibilities:

  • Define and clarify project goals, scope, and deliverables related to cable harness design, manufacturing, and installation.
  • Evaluate project feasibility and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Develop a project charter and secure stakeholder approval.
  • Formulate a detailed project plan with clear task assignments, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Create a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to guide project execution.
  • Identify potential risks, prioritize them, and establish mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to design cable harnesses that comply with specifications and regulations.
  • Ensure designs are optimized for both performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Allocate necessary materials, equipment, and personnel for project tasks.
  • Monitor and adjust resource utilization to meet project objectives.
  • Develop and track the project budget, ensuring cost control and financial management.
  • Maintain open and clear communication with all project stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Provide regular updates, status reports, and technical documentation for all stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate risks specific to cable harness projects, such as design changes or supply chain issues.
  • Manage scope, schedule, and specification changes, ensuring necessary approvals and adjustments.
  • Ensure comprehensive and up-to-date project documentation is available for the team.
  • Lead and guide cross-functional teams, promoting collaboration and technical expertise.
  • Engage with clients regularly to meet their needs and exceed expectations.
  • Assess project success and document lessons learned for future improvements.
  • Finalize all documentation, ensuring proper handover upon project completion.

Profile

Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, with a Master's or specialization in Project Management preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PRINCE2, or Agile certifications.
  • 7 to 10 years of proven experience in project management or a similar leadership role.
  • Strong experience in managing projects of varying sizes and complexities, demonstrating a successful track record.
  • Proficiency with project management tools like Microsoft Project, Jira, Trello, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
  • Outstanding communication abilities, both written and verbal, with strong presentation skills for stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with a proven ability to manage risks and budgets effectively.
