My client is seeking a highly motivated Operations Manager to lead and drive manufacturing performance, process improvements, and team development. This role is critical to ensuring operations meet production goals while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Description
The Operations Manager will report directly into the Plant Manager and be responsible for:
- Lead daily production operations to meet performance goals, including throughput, labor efficiency, quality, and cost targets.
- Supervise a team of approximately 25-30 employees; oversee hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.
- Partner with engineering and technical staff to analyze, troubleshoot, and improve complex electrochemical and mechanical processes.
- Support customer-facing technical discussions related to new applications, product enhancements, and issue resolution.
- Champion safety, environmental compliance, and employee engagement initiatives across the facility.
- Ensure adherence to quality systems; lead SPC reviews, audits, and daily management routines.
- Coordinate maintenance and engineering resources to minimize downtime and drive long- and short-term improvements.
- Develop operational plans that emphasize continuous improvement in quality, throughput, reliability, and profitability.

Profile
- Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science or a related field
- 5-10 years of experience in a manufacturing industry with 3+ years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and inspire a diverse team, driving them towards common production goals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members and management
- A strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety regulations
