Senior Accountant
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant with a strong background in equipment leasing to join our growing finance team.
Client Details
Our client is a fast-growing financial services company specializing in equipment leasing solutions for businesses across diverse industries, with a mission is to simplify access to capital and help their clients thrive by providing flexible, customized leasing options. As the business continues to scale, they're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to join our finance team and play a key role in building out robust financial processes that support growth.
Description
Perform and review general ledger accounting functions including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Maintain accurate records of equipment leases, revenue recognition schedules, and asset depreciation
Reconcile lease payments and monitor accounts receivable and payable
Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
Support tax preparation and compliance activities
Help implement and improve accounting systems, processes, and internal controls
Liaise with external auditors during audits and regulatory filings
Mentor junior accounting staff as needed
Profile
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA or CPA track preferred
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in financial services or equipment leasing
Experience with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks)
Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with large data sets
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
