Project Manager (Water/Wastewater Construction) - Sacramento

  • The Project Manager will be expected to manage and control all aspects of delivering complex municipal water & wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Manage staff like inspectors, schedulers, estimators, and site safety personnel. Independently manage multiple projects simultaneously, with an expected average composite value up to $25mil.

Our client is a General Contractor based in Sacramento, specializing in water/wastewater projects. They have grown extensively over the years and are looking to immediately hire a Project Manager in their Sacramento office.

Key Responsibilities of a Project Manager (Water/Wastewater Construction) - Sacramento

  • Ability to independently manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to develop and implement a personal management style and structure that is independent and self-directing.
  • Head project handoff activities between estimator and project management team.
  • Prepare CPM project schedule.
  • Prepare and issue subcontracts and purchase orders with vendors.
  • Prepare and submit work plans and material submittals for work that will be self-performed by my client.
  • Manage vendor submittal and RFI process. Ensure vendors meet submission and procurement deadlines.

Profile

A Successful Project Manager (Water/Wastewater Construction) - Sacramento

  • 5+ years of experience as a project manager in the described capacity.
  • Experience in preparation of CPM project schedules for water/wastewater treatment plants, pump stations & wet utility underground projects.
  • Experience in developing and implementing facility commissioning and startup plans. This requires coordination with multiple subcontractors, vendors, and owner representatives.
  • Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products & HCSS Heavy Job.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project for preparing and managing CPM schedules.
  • Broad understanding of industry relevant to the position.
  • Pump stations, treatment plants, lift stations and heavy civil, with a focus on water/wastewater experience required!
