Instructional Designer
The Instructional Designer will be responsible for creating and delivering effective, engaging, and scalable training content for manufacturing employees across all levels. This role will collaborate cross-functionally to align learning programs with operational objectives, while leveraging technology and instructional design best practices to ensure high-impact knowledge transfer.

Description
- Design training courses and materials using instructional design principles to enhance employee learning and retention.
- Develop a digital library of micro-learning modules, covering both technical and soft skills.
- Produce training manuals, troubleshooting guides, videos, and other content in alignment with adult learning theory.
- Manage and utilize LMS platforms and authoring tools to create, deliver, and track training.
- Lead training projects independently in dynamic manufacturing environments. Apply industry trends and learning tools to evolve internal practices.
- Translate business strategy into clear, relevant training content for plant staff.
- Build a robust repository of training materials (videos, PowerPoints, OPLs, simulations) accessible in the training system.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and refine programs based on feedback. Occasionally support plant-level recruiting and serve as a backup scheduler.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in education, technical field, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of instructional design experience, ideally within a manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency with LMS tools (Alchemy preferred), video production, and content authoring software.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with design software.
- Experience analyzing skills frameworks and building training around them.
- Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and soft skills including adaptability, persuasion, and conflict resolution.
- Ability to work in varying environments (including warm or cold areas).
- Must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
- Willingness to flex work hours to accommodate shift schedules in a 24-hour facility.
- Requires prolonged focus and attention to detail.
