Description

The Superintendent will oversee all daily site operations, ensuring projects are executed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This includes leading site logistics, managing subcontractors, coordinating with project managers and architects, enforcing safety protocols, and resolving field challenges quickly and effectively. The role requires hands-on leadership, excellent communication with all stakeholders, and a sharp eye for detail to maintain quality standards.

• Lead all daily site operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards

• Oversee site logistics, scheduling, and sequencing of work to maximize efficiency

• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, trades, and field staff to maintain smooth workflows

• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to resolve issues and maintain alignment with project goals

• Enforce strict safety protocols and compliance with NYC building codes and DOB regulations

• Conduct quality control inspections and ensure adherence to design specifications

• Anticipate and troubleshoot field challenges quickly to minimize delays

• Maintain clear, consistent communication with clients, stakeholders, and project teams

Profile

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing fast-paced, large-scale commercial interiors projects in New York City. They will demonstrate strong leadership, clear communication skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple trades under demanding schedules. A natural problem solver, they will be both detail-oriented and adaptable, thriving in dynamic environments while keeping projects aligned with client expectations.

• 8+ years of superintendent experience in commercial interiors

• Expertise in NYC building codes and DOB regulations

• Strong scheduling and subcontractor coordination skills

• Proven ability to lead site teams and enforce safety compliance

• Proficiency in Procore or similar project management software

• Excellent communication and leadership skills
