Description
The Drywall Project Manager - Large Projects - Maryland will be responsible for:
- Managing large, complex commercial drywall, metal stud framing, and acoustical ceiling projects from award through closeout
- Reviewing and fully understanding contract documents, drawings, specifications, and scope requirements
- Developing and maintaining project budgets, schedules, and material procurement plans
- Coordinating sequencing and logistics with field leadership and other trades to maintain schedule and critical path
- Managing material buyout, vendor relationships, and timely deliveries to support field production
- Tracking job costs, reviewing cost reports, and maintaining project profitability
- Managing RFIs, change orders, scope clarifications, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle
- Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress, production, quality, and safety
- Ensuring work is completed in accordance with contract requirements, fire‑rated assemblies, and finish level standards
- Supporting monthly billings, change order pricing, and forecasting
- Leading project closeout activities including punchlists, inspections, and final documentation
Profile
The Drywall Project Manager - Large Projects - Maryland will have:
- Proven experience managing large commercial drywall and metal stud framing projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Strong knowledge of commercial drywall systems, including framing, gypsum assemblies, fire‑rated walls, and acoustical ceilings
- Experience working on large‑scale projects such as healthcare, education, multifamily, government, or major commercial interiors
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents related to drywall scopes
- Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules, and job cost reporting
- Experience handling RFIs, change orders, and scope coordination specific to drywall and framing work
- Strong coordination skills with superintendents, foremen, general contractors, and other trades
- Ability to manage material procurement, vendor relationships, and delivery logistics
- Understanding of quality control standards, inspections, and punchlist processes for drywall installations
- Proficiency with construction project management software and standard office tools
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
