Manufacturing Technician - Medical Device - Cherry Hill, NJ
This role supports hands‑on manufacturing and laboratory operations for complex electronic medical devices. You'll work closely with engineering teams to execute, refine, and document production processes in a highly regulated environment.

Description
- Operate and maintain laboratory and production equipment used in manufacturing electronic implantable devices.
- Prepare metallographic samples including cutting, mounting, grinding, and polishing.
- Perform cross‑section analyses and collect data for engineering studies.
- Execute manual and semi‑automatic assembly tasks on the production floor.
- Manage surface treatment, cleaning, and casting support activities.
- Document operational results, sample prep details, and process parameters with accuracy.
- Collaborate with process development, quality, supply chain, and R&D teams.
- Follow established procedures, safety protocols, and GMP standards.
- Track and communicate key operational metrics related to equipment and workflow.
Profile
- Technical degree or certification in materials science, mechanical technology, electronics, or related fields.
- 2-5 years of hands‑on metallographic sample preparation experience.
- Skilled in operating sandblasting tools, grinders, polishing machines, and similar equipment.
- Familiarity with manual and semi‑automatic assembly in a manufacturing or lab environment.
- Understanding of welding, soldering, and surface treatment fundamentals.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise procedures.
- Working knowledge of safety, laboratory standards, and GMP.
- Clear communication skills for reporting and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn manufacturing systems.
