Founded over 40 years ago as a small subcontractor, this company has grown into one of the top contractors in the DC-Metro area, specializing in Healthcare & Commercial interior/renovation projects. Still family-owned and operated, they foster a welcoming, inclusive, and family-first culture while continuing to expand. A significant portion of their work comes from repeat clients and occurs in highly sensitive, occupied environments. They are currently looking to hire a Project Coordinator.
Description
The Project Coordinator - Family-Owned GC - MD will be responsible for:

Project Support:
- Assist the Project Manager in the planning and execution of construction projects.
- Maintain project schedules, budgets, and timelines, ensuring alignment with project goals.

Documentation Management:
- Organize and maintain all project-related documents, including contracts, change orders, and RFIs (Requests for Information).
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of project progress and issues to the Project Manager.

Communication:
- Act as a point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
- Schedule and coordinate project meetings, including preparing agendas and documenting minutes.

Budget Tracking:
- Assist in monitoring project budgets and expenditures, helping to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Track and process invoices and payments to vendors and subcontractors.

Site Coordination:
- Support site visits and inspections, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.
- Help resolve on-site issues and coordinate the efforts of subcontractors and laborers.

Problem Solving:
- Identify potential project risks and assist in developing mitigation plans.
- Address any project-related concerns promptly to minimize disruptions.
Profile
The Project Coordinator - Family-Owned GC - MD will have:
- experience as a Project Coordinator in the construction industry highly preferred
- excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- strong organization skills
- ability to multitask
- proficiency in project management software
