Main duties and responsibilities include the following:Establishes staging plans and manages site logistics and workflow.
Reviews subcontractor scopes of work, submittals and invoices and provides feedback to Project Manager for compliance and coordination.
Assists Project Manager in job cost reporting and budget control.
Collaborates with Project Manager in maintaining and updating construction schedules to identify and solve problems in pre-construction meetings prior to mobilization.
Prepares daily reports, safety reports, schedules and supervises completion of final punch lists.
Orders materials and schedules inspections as required or needed.
Assists with recruiting and hiring needs.
Trains field crew members, project engineers and junior superintendents and conducts safety orientations.
Promotes job site safety and ensures employees and contractors are adhering to the company safety policy and regulatory requirements.
Rectifies any job site hazards immediately.
Conducts weekly safety and progress meetings.
Maintains a clean, organized job site at all times including the construction office.
Performs other job duties as assigned and/or required.

Experienced and driven Traveling Superintendent is sought to join one of South Carolina's oldest and reputable general contractos. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving their continued success throughout the North and South Carolina market, managing their retail remodel projects and mentoring their excellent field team. This individual will report directly to the Senior Superintendent and be responsible for managing their projects from inception to close out, ensuring the projects are delivered on time and on budget (projects are typically 3 months, then move to the next project). Travel would be only in the Carolinas, with the ability to come home every weekend, as the company has a family oriented mindset.

Profile
Traveling Superintendent - Retail Construction - NC/SC should have:
- A minimum of 3 years of construction-related project management experience with a general contractor.
- A proven track record of running retail remodel projects - Big Box experience highly preferred
- Knowledge of construction methods and materials, costing, & scheduling
- Applicable construction management software experience
- Ability to organize, think ahead, plan and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Job Offer
Traveling Superintendent - Retail Construction - NC/SC will receive:
- Base salary between $75,000 to $100,000 - Dependent on experience
- 10% annual bonus
- 4% 401K match
