Regional Sales Manager-HVAC-Northeast
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will oversee sales operations within the HVAC sector, focusing on building and maintaining client relationships. This role is ideal for a results-driven individual passionate about driving sales and achieving targets in the business services industry.

Description
Regional Sales Leadership
- Own all sales activities within the Northeast territory, with emphasis on New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
- Develop and execute an annual regional sales plan aligned with overall business goals.
- Forecast sales performance and recommend strategies to meet targets.
Channel & Distributor Development
- Build, manage, and strengthen a high-performing network of distributors throughout the region.
- Educate distributors on product capabilities, positioning, and selling strategies to maximize success.
- Improve distributor engagement and execution through training, field visits, and joint customer calls.
Market Expansion & Customer Engagement
- Generate awareness of products among consulting engineers, project representatives, and specifying firms.
- Develop relationships with installing contractors to promote product adoption in upcoming bids and builds.
- Pursue large-scale project opportunities through direct sales efforts.
- Maintain a strong external focus on market trends, competitor activity, industry events, and emerging opportunities.
Strategic Marketing & Territory Management
- Create and implement customized marketing plans for major accounts in the Northeast.
- Represent my client at regional industry events, trade shows, association meetings, and customer presentations.
- Establish processes for identifying relevant regional projects and securing bids from reps or end customers.
- Partner with internal teams (operations, engineering, sourcing) to understand customer needs and ensure alignment.
Customer Support & Internal Collaboration
- Serve as a technical resource for customers, coordinating internally to resolve application or product issues quickly.
- Assist with quoting, pricing preparation, order processing, and follow-up on inquiries.
- Collaborate closely with leadership to report results and recommend updates to goals or strategy.
- Support service, warranty, and accounts receivable follow-up as needed.
Travel
- Travel throughout the Northeast territory up to 50% of the time, visiting distributors, end users, contractors, and trade events.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of proven B2B sales experience, ideally within HVAC, mechanical systems, electrical equipment, or industrial products.
- 3+ years in a leadership or sales management role with demonstrated success in channel or territory development.
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation).
- Comfortable presenting to engineers, contractors, distributor teams, and large groups.
- Strong organizational, planning, and follow-through skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage a large workload, and represent my client at trade shows and industry events.
- Demonstrated relationship-building ability and independent working style.
Job Offer
- Competitive base salary ranging from $130,000 to $140,000 USD annually.
- Target bonus of $40K to reward exceptional performance.
