The QE is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in the electropolishing and metal finishing processes. Description

  • Develop and implement quality control processes for metal finishing operations to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Perform inspections on incoming materials, in-process work, and finished products to ensure quality specifications are met.
  • Analyze and interpret data from quality tests and reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues and provide guidance on corrective actions.
  • Maintain and update quality documentation such as inspection reports, control plans, and work instructions.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality-related problems.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as ISO, AS9100, or other relevant quality certifications.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma projects to enhance product quality.
  • Train production staff on quality standards, best practices, and process improvements.
  • Support customer audits and inquiries, addressing any quality concerns or specifications.
  • Oversee calibration and maintenance of quality inspection equipment and tools.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure that raw materials meet quality specifications and resolve any supplier-related issues.

Profile

Required: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Ability to Work this Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

  • BS in Engineering, Materials Science, or Related Field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Experience with electropolishing or similar electrochemical processes (e.g., electroplating, anodizing) is strongly preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001.


Desired:

  • Metals experience, preferably metal finishing experience!
  • Experience with ISO 13485
  • Certifications in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing
