Project Manager - Commercial Construction - Raleigh

Their market focus is on public projects (municipal, K12, higher education, government) and a typical project will range between $10-40M.
Description
- Plan, coordinate, and manage all phases of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
- Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
- Oversee subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and performance.
- Monitor project progress and adjust plans to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Manage contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and other documentation.
- Enforce safety and quality standards on job sites.
- Serve as the primary liaison with clients, architects, and engineers.
- Prepare and present regular project updates and reports to stakeholders.
Profile
- 5+ years of experience with a commercial general contractor
- Ideally experience with public hard bid projects over $10M
- College degree required, preferably in construction management or engineering
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to identify and resolve issues that may arise during construction
- Understanding of construction methods, materials, and techniques, local building codes and regulations
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
- Proficient in creating and managing construction budgets and schedules
- Familiarity with construction contracts, including the ability to interpret contract documents, negotiate terms, and enforce contract requirements.
- Capability to collaborate with various stakeholders, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and construction teams
- Familiarity with construction management software (Procore, Sage/Timberline, Microsoft Project)

- Base salary contingent on experience 110k-140k
