Superintendent - General Contractor - Rockville MD
The Superintendent will oversee and manage daily construction activities on projects across DC, Maryland, and Virginia, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery. Description
Direct and supervise all on-site construction activities, coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel.
Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
Collaborate with project management, engineers, architects, and clients to maintain clear communication and project alignment.
Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resources, proactively addressing any issues or delays.
Oversee quality control processes to ensure all work meets contractual requirements and industry standards.
Manage site logistics, material deliveries, and equipment usage to optimize productivity.
Lead efforts to resolve conflicts or challenges that arise during construction.
Maintain accurate documentation, daily reports, and progress updates for stakeholders.
Profile
Proven experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction projects, preferably in complex or large-scale environments.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret construction documents including blueprints and specifications.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Familiarity with construction software and project management tools is a plus
