Assistant Project Manager - Construction
The assistant project manager's job is to make sure the project runs smoothly from start to finish. They will work on the planning and execution of every step of the project, collaborating with the project manager or other team members who are assigned to the project.
Client Details
Our client opened its Arizona office in 1987. They have been providing construction services throughout the State of Arizona successfully completing commercial and light industrial projects in both the private and public sector.
Description
- Planning and scheduling: Assisting with project time-lines and ensuring tasks are completed on time
- Resource allocation: Helping to allocate resources for the project
- Project documentation: Maintaining project documentation
- Project proposals and reports: Assisting with preparing project proposals and status reports
- Stakeholder management: Identifying stakeholders, managing their expectations, and maintaining engagement
- Communication: Communicating with the project team and external personnel, and sometimes filtering information before passing it on
- Leadership: Motivating and leading the team toward project completion
- Administrative duties: Setting up meetings, drafting invoices, and drawing estimates
- Data analysis: Analyzing data as required
Profile
- 2+ years of construction experience with a general contractor is required
- Experience working on ground-up commercial, education, health care, and/or industrial construction projects is required
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or relevant degree preferred
- Applicable Project Management Software experience preferred
- Developed thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project success
- Maintains good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with anyone from clients to subcontractors
- Must be a business-oriented person and act professionally when representing the employer at any level
- Local to Phoenix preferred, though re-locators will be considered
Job Offer
- Base salary contingent on experience, ranging roughly $100,000-105,000
