The Director of Quality at the client will lead all quality management efforts, ensuring compliance with industry standards and driving continuous improvement. Description

  • Drive Quality Improvement Initiatives: Lead continuous improvement efforts across the organization to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Oversee compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards, including leading audits and certifications.
  • Lead and Mentor the Quality Team: Manage and guide a team of quality professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with engineering, production, and other departments to resolve quality issues and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Manage Customer and Supplier Quality: Address customer concerns, manage supplier quality performance, and drive initiatives to improve overall supply chain quality.
  • Monitor and Report Quality Performance: Track key quality metrics, analyze trends, and report to senior management on areas for improvement.
  • Oversee Root Cause Analysis: Lead root cause analysis for quality issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution of problems.
  • Develop and Implement Quality Strategies: Create and execute quality strategies that align with the company's business goals and objectives.
  • Support New Product Development: Collaborate in the new product development process to ensure quality standards are integrated from the design phase onward.

Profile

  • Candidates must be a US Citizen
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline.
  • 7-10 years of experience in quality management within manufacturing or high-tech environments, emphasizing excellence and reliability.
  • Experience with Defense Manufacturing- Navy is highly desirable
  • Proven leadership abilities in mentoring teams and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, and other key quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Expertise in process improvement through statistical analysis, methodologies, and root cause analysis.
  • Strategic thinker capable of aligning quality strategies with the company's business objectives.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective collaboration across all organizational levels.
  • Customer-centric approach with a history of addressing concerns and enhancing customer/supplier satisfaction.
  • Technical proficiency in manufacturing processes, engineering principles, and quality control tools.
  • Adaptable and innovative, skilled in navigating complex challenges and driving advancements in quality practices to maintain a competitive edge.
  • ASQ, Lean Six Sigma is a plus
