Client Details
One of the largest general contractors in the country, this company has projects across New England and the Midwest. They are currently operating in more than 40 states and employ over 4,000 team members. The company manages and self-performs civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, telecommunications, thermal, fabrication, and coating services. With headquarters in Maine, most of their work is concentrated in the New England region. They are well-diversified across both civil and commercial construction. Their commercial division covers sectors including hospitality, public, industrial, higher education, life sciences, corporate, and healthcare.
Description
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from start to finish.
- Support the Project Manager in managing project schedules, budgets, and documentation.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Prepare and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other project-related documentation.
- Monitor and report on project progress, addressing any issues that arise and proposing solutions.
- Assist with budget management, including tracking costs, managing purchase orders, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Participate in project meetings, prepare meeting agendas, and document action items.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards on the job site.
- Act as a point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and managing expectations.
Profile
- 5-10 years of APM experience with a GC
- Experience with ground-up projects
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and documentation.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam) and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive attitude with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
- Willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
