The Sr Precon Manager/Estimator will oversee preconstruction and estimating activities within the construction department, ensuring project success from inception to execution. Looking for a strong Preconstruction Manager/ Estimator to join their Charlotte team as they continue to successfully expand their market prescence throughout NC. Looking for someone who would be excited to launch their estimating team and have full atonomy over the division.

Description

  • Develop and manage detailed project estimates and budgets for property construction projects.
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and budgets.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans for preconstruction phases.
  • Lead value engineering efforts to optimize project costs while maintaining quality standards.
  • Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to gather accurate cost data and negotiate pricing.
  • Prepare and present cost reports and recommendations to leadership and clients.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and construction methods to enhance estimating practices.

Profile

A successful Sr Precon Manager/Estimator should have:

  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and cost estimation techniques.
  • Proficiency in preconstruction software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with project stakeholders.
  • A track record of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines in the property industry.
  • Experience in cost control, budgeting, and value engineering.
  • A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
