Superintendent

The Superintendent will oversee day-to-day field operations on luxury residential gut renovations throughout Manhattan. This role is responsible for maintaining schedules, quality, and safety while coordinating trades on complex, high-end projects in New York, New York. The ideal Superintendent is hands-on, organized, and experienced managing detailed interior renovations.

Client Details

Our client is a Manhattan-based General Contractor operating out of New York, New York, focused exclusively on luxury residential construction. They deliver full gut renovations of townhomes, penthouses, and apartments, combining tight project controls with a refined approach to craftsmanship, logistics, and client experience in high-end urban environments.

Description

• Manage all on-site construction activities from start to project closeout
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and daily field labor
• Enforce project schedules, safety standards, and quality control
• Communicate regularly with project managers and ownership
• Conduct site meetings, inspections, and progress reporting
• Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites
• Serve as the primary on-site representative of the Superintendent role

Profile

A successful Superintendent should have:

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on renovation projects
• Strong background in interior gut renovations (residential preferred)
• Knowledge of NYC construction practices, codes, and logistics
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple trades in occupied or high-end spaces
• Experience working on projects in New York, New York
