Superintendent- Public Projects

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead on-site operations for commercial and public construction projects throughout South Florida, based out of Fort Lauderdale.

Description

• Oversee day-to-day field operations from project start through completion.

• Manage subcontractors, site logistics, schedules, and sequencing of work.

• Ensure all work complies with project plans, specifications, and local building codes.

• Enforce jobsite safety standards and company safety programs.

• Coordinate inspections with municipal authorities and public agencies.

• Maintain detailed daily reports, look-ahead schedules, and progress updates.

• Work closely with Project Managers to resolve constructability issues and drive schedule performance.

Profile

• 5+ years of Superintendent experience on commercial and/or public-sector construction projects in South Florida.

• Proven experience working on projects involving municipal, county, or state agencies.

• Strong understanding of Florida building codes, inspections, and public procurement processes.

• Ability to lead subcontractors and crews while maintaining professionalism on active jobsites.

• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

• OSHA certification and experience managing safety programs preferred.
