Quality Engineer
My client is a leading aerospace precision manufacturer, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Engineer to join their dynamic team. With a commitment to excellence and innovation, we specialize in the production of high-precision components for the aerospace industry. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality in our manufacturing processes.

With over 80 years of experience in the industry, my client manufacturers components for critical systems within the aerospace industry. With their diversified portfolio, they have become a leader in the industry and are looking to grow a strong team for 2024.
Description
The key responsibilities of the Quality Engineer are:
Quality Management System (QMS):
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System in accordance with aerospace industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with quality procedures and documentation.
Process Improvement:
- Identify areas for process improvement and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement effective solutions.
- Analyze manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce defects.
Supplier Quality Management:
- Evaluate and monitor supplier performance, ensuring that all supplied materials and components meet quality specifications.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Quality Control:
- Establish and enforce quality control procedures throughout the manufacturing process.
- Conduct inspections and tests to verify product conformance to specifications.
Root Cause Analysis:
- Lead root cause analysis investigations for non-conformances, customer complaints, and other quality-related issues.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to address identified issues.
Profile
The successful Quality Engineer will have the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in quality engineering within the aerospace manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of aerospace quality standards, such as AS9100.
- Familiarity with precision machining processes and inspection techniques.
- Proficient in the use of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, statistical analysis).
- Ability to validate inspections, interpret GD&T blueprints, and perform shop math (including trigonometry).
- Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- ASQ certification (e.g., CQE) is a plus.
