My client is looking for a Project Manager to join their team based out of Purcellville, VA. Specializing in turn-key commercial projects, they work with both private and corporate clients in sectors such as financial, warehousing, education, healthcare, and more!

They've built a strong portfolio that includes Grocery stores, Fleet Maintenance projects for Moving and Storage, various community centers and retail projects.
Description
A commercial construction project manager oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Here are some key responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop detailed project plans and timelines, set project milestones, and allocate resources efficiently. Use project management software to track progress and manage timelines.
- Budget Management: Create and manage project budgets, estimate costs, and work with finance teams to ensure the project stays within budget constraints. Monitor expenses and adjust as needed to meet financial goals.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and vendors. Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status, and manage expectations.
- Team Coordination: Lead and coordinate project teams, including engineers, architects, contractors, and subcontractors. Ensure each team member understands their role and responsibilities.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to prevent delays, budget overruns, or other project issues.
- Quality Control and Compliance: Ensure construction meets all quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of all project activities, including contracts, change orders, inspections, and compliance reports. Prepare progress reports and present them to stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Quickly address any unforeseen challenges that arise during the project, adjusting schedules or resources as necessary to stay on track.
- Vendor and Contract Management: Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers, manage procurement of materials, and oversee delivery schedules to ensure timely availability of resources.
- Safety Oversight: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols on the construction site, ensuring a safe environment for all workers and minimizing liability.
Profile
- 8+ years of experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry
- Experience with commercial projects
- Proficiency in PlanGrid, Ranken, and Bluebeam highly preferred
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- A commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards
- Ability to foster a collaborative and positive work environment
- Excellent management skills in budgets, schedules, and resources effectively
- Ability to coordinate and lead diverse teams, including contractors, architects, and engineers.
- Skilled in adapting to changing project requirements and conditions
