Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting the Accounting & Finance department. This position offers the opportunity to work in the manufacturing industry, handling complex accounting tasks in a collaborative environment.

Description

• As the Senior Accountant you will help prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Oversee accounts payable and billing, ensuring timely processing.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure proper documentation of financial transactions.
• Review project costing to ensure that revenue recognition aligns with GAAP.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve financial processes and reporting systems.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff as needed.

Profile

A successful Senior Accountant should have:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Have and understanding or project costing, WIP, COGS, and Inventory.
• Experience in a manufacturing, construction, or engineering environment is ideal for this role.
• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Good understanding of processes and controls.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• This role is in office and based in Scottsdale, AZ.
