Description

Estimator - Lab/ Lifescience - $130k - Boston, MA - Responsibilities

• Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates for projects, primarily focused on lab and life sciences projects.
• Utilize estimating software (Bluebeam, Procore, P6, BIM/VDC) to generate and manage project estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers, design teams, and subcontractors to ensure cost-effective, constructible, and coordinated solutions.
• Review design documents for constructability, identifying potential cost-saving opportunities and offering alternatives for consideration.
• Support the Director of Preconstruction in building and refining the estimating department processes.
• Work closely with the Project Coordinator and PEX team members to ensure accurate and timely estimates.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed.
• Assist in the preparation of conceptual estimates for early-phase projects.

Profile

Estimator - Lab/ Lifescience - $130k - Boston, MA - Will have

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in construction estimating, with a strong background in Lab/Life Science projects.
• Familiarity with estimating software such as Bluebeam, Procore, and P6.
• Conceptual Estimating experience is highly preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Proven problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required).

Job Offer

Estimator - Lab/ Lifescience - $130k - Boston, MA - Will receive

• Salary range: $120,000 - $130,000, with flexibility for the right candidate (up to $140,000).
• Mileage reimbursement for travel to project sites.

• Vehicle allowance to assist with travel.
