Estimator
We are seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Estimator to lead bid preparation and cost analysis for healthcare and commercial construction projects. This role is central to winning work and ensuring accurate pricing from pre-construction through contract award.

Description
Prepare detailed cost estimates for healthcare, commercial, and institutional projects (both public and private)
Review drawings, specifications, and RFP documents to perform quantity take-offs
Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids
Lead pre-bid meetings and communicate closely with project management and executive teams
Develop value engineering solutions and identify project risks
Track historical cost data and market trends to ensure competitive pricing
Participate in hand-off meetings to ensure smooth project execution
Profile
You're a numbers-driven, analytical thinker who brings a deep understanding of NYC construction pricing and market trends. You're proactive, deadline-driven, and confident in working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
5+ years of experience estimating commercial construction projects in New York City
Strong background in healthcare, institutional, or life sciences projects
Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Sage Estimating, ProEst, Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff)
In-depth knowledge of local subcontractor market and pricing structures
Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
